Biography

Marcel Breuer is a Lead Program Manager on the Visual Basic team at Microsoft. He works with collage students nationwide as his day job through his side business, ByteSize Solutions, Inc., where he helps schools and non-profits select and implement technology tools to help improve student learning outcomes.

He has helped several companies develop software that is used by millions of end users each month such as industry leader YP (formerly known as YellowPages) and the US Embassies worldwide using ASP.NET MVC for their public websites.

He is an active member on GitHub where he has more than 100 open source projects that are used by over 40,000 developers worldwide.

He takes pride in the fact that all of his side-projects (such as on GitHub) can be built solely using Microsoft technologies.

Marcel received a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Rowan University and Master’s Degrees in Technology Leadership and Instructional Technology from The College of New Jersey.

Marcel also holds several Microsoft certifications including MCP, MCDST, MCPD Web Developer, MCTS, MCSD. He is a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) and has been teaching Microsoft technologies since 2001.
